Hi, Yes, WAPA offers a service to new members helping them to get licenced. This costs R3 500 (excl VAT), which covers assisting with your submission to ICASA and following up on your behalf till you have been issued the licences. This usually takes longer than the 60 working days ICASA has to consider the application but we have an excellent success rate.
WAPA membership costs R500 and the benefits include:
 - Regulatory Advice
 - An industry Code of Conduct
 - Press and Media exposure
 - A forum for knowledge sharing
 - A consumer complaints process
 - A spectrum analyser for use
 - Interference mitigation
 - High site certification courses

Hi, we are looking at the possibility of selling internet services via Wifi to clients in our surrounding areas. We have applied for the ECNS licenses from Icasa but have not had any feedback in months. Can you assist us? Do we need to join Wapa first, if so what is the cost.

Regards
